Human nature.  Mother nature.  It’s all about the nature if you ask me.  At least, that’s the way I see it.  Unplugging is mandatory for me.  I must step away from the machine from time to time in order to feel human again.  Recently, I was guided on a Kayak Float by the North Florida Naturalist Ayolane Halusky.  We floated down a portion of Trout Creek and took time to just sit and drift with the wind and waters.

My AMERICAN FORK LP has been out for nearly two months now.  In between wrapping up the North American tour dates and preparing to leave for the European tour, I wanted to write a few lines about the people who physically helped me make this record.  This week it remains in the Top 20 most played albums on the Americana Music Radio charts, and much of the reason for that is the musicianship and the way it was recorded.

Musically, the band has been a tasteful, well schooled, and smooth ride.  This specific batch of words is to thank them, or perhaps their lead singer, for not shying away from speaking her/their mind when it comes to politics and the disgraceful and embarrassing situation my country is in with Donald Trump. Most of you youngsters and musos are hip to this band.  Many think they are New Orleans based.
